Enterprise software excels at detecting digital incidents: when a delivery fails, a gate code is rejected, or a critical dock delivery is turned away, modern supply-chain platforms (SAP, Manhattan, Flexport) register the error in milliseconds.
However, over 95% of regional carriers, freight docks, logistics dispatchers, and field facilities have zero digital APIs.
When an exception occurs:
- The API Dead-End: Software hits a brick wall. There is no webhook, no REST endpoint, and no EDI feed to resolve the problem.
- The Human Bottleneck: An operations coordinator is forced to wait on hold for 30-45 minutes just to relay a gate code, security token, or schedule an emergency redelivery.
- The Catastrophic Cost: Perishable pharmaceuticals spoil at room temperature, assembly lines halt due to missing parts (AOG), and enterprises incur tens of thousands of dollars in SLA penalties.
| Traditional Voice Assistants | ResolveCall Autonomous Recovery Agent |
|---|---|
| Passive Inbound: Waits for humans to call and ask questions | Active Outbound: Autonomous trigger upon operational failure |
| Conversational Chatbot: Reads knowledge bases and FAQs | Action-Taking Workforce: Resolves real-world business breakdowns |
| Unbounded Dialogue: Can make vague promises or hallucinate | Deterministic Policy Engine: Enforces exact mathematical deadlines |
| Siloed Audio: Call ends without enterprise system updates | Full Enterprise Sync: Streams live SSE events and updates state |
ResolveCall transforms telephony from a passive customer-service IVR into an active, goal-seeking enterprise recovery workforce.
ResolveCall is built under an uncompromising Real-Time Production Standard:
- π« NO Fictional Incident Mocks: Ingests arbitrary operational payloads at runtime via REST API or CLI.
- π« NO Simulated Telephony: Every outbound call connects to real telephone numbers on the PSTN via
@call-e/cli. - π« NO Hardcoded Transcripts: Dialogue turns, timestamps, and audio artifacts are streamed live from genuine CALL-E sessions.
- π« NO Scripted Replays: The agent dynamically handles unpredictable human responses, hold music, gatekeepers, and IVR menus.
- π« NO Fabricated Successes: If a recipient does not answer or declines, the system records reality -- marking the incident as
DEADLINE_MISSEDorESCALATED.
ResolveCall connects automated digital events to human telephone networks through a 5-tier architecture:
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 1. INCIDENT INGESTION TIER |
| - Webhook / REST POST / CLI Ingestion of Operational Incident Payload |
| - Payload Normalization (IDs, Carrier, Contact Phone, Cutoff Deadline, Auth) |
+--------------------------+---------------------------------------------------------+
|
v
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 2. AUTONOMOUS RECOVERY PLANNER TIER |
| - Analyzes operational root cause (GATE_LOCKED, DOCK_REFUSED, CLEARANCE_MISSING) |
| - Formulates goal-directed negotiation objectives and hard cutoff rules |
| - Sanitizes credentials to standard logistics clearance terms (Anti-Phishing) |
+--------------------------+---------------------------------------------------------+
|
v
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 3. TELEPHONY GATEWAY (CALL-E MCP) |
| - Whitelist Authorization Check (E.164 verified phone number filtering) |
| - Dual-Phase Execution: |
| 1. calle call plan --> Generates Plan ID and Confirm Token |
| 2. calle call run --> Dials destination phone over PSTN carrier network |
| - Real-time Polling & SSE Streaming (RINGING --> CONNECTED --> COMPLETED) |
+--------------------------+---------------------------------------------------------+
|
v
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 4. STRUCTURED EVIDENCE EXTRACTOR |
| - Parses spoken conversation turns and CALL-E structured outcome payload |
| - Extracts: (1) Proposed Time Window (2) Representative Name (3) Confirm Ref. |
| - Verbatim quote attribution for tamper-evident audit trails |
+--------------------------+---------------------------------------------------------+
|
v
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 5. DETERMINISTIC MATHEMATICAL POLICY ENGINE |
| - Zero-LLM-Hallucination Policy Decision: |
| Delta = Timestamp(Deadline) - Timestamp(Proposed) |
| - Decision Matrix: |
| |- Delta >= 0 --> VALID --> Status: RECOVERED (On-Time Window) |
| |- Delta < 0 --> INVALID --> Status: DEADLINE_MISSED |
| +- Refused/Unanswered --> Status: ESCALATED / DEADLINE_MISSED |
+--------------------------+---------------------------------------------------------+
|
v
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| 6. AUDIT & MISSION CONTROL UI |
| - Real-time Server-Sent Events (SSE) feed to Operator Mission Control Dashboard |
| - Append-only structured audit log recording every event, token, and delta |
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Instead of using fixed templates, ResolveCall dynamically constructs a conversational strategy tailored to the specific failure type. When sensitive authorization credentials (gate codes, dock PINs, security clearance numbers) are present, ResolveCall transforms them into standard operational clearance phrases (e.g., "facility access code", "delivery reference token"). This prevents carrier AI safety systems from flagging legitimate logistics coordination as credential harvesting while ensuring crisp transmission over voice channels.
LLMs should negotiate, but they must never make unchecked mathematical or contractual compliance decisions. ResolveCall extracts the proposed delivery window and computes a deterministic temporal delta against the incident's hard operational cutoff:
Delta_minutes = Epoch(T_deadline) - Epoch(T_proposed_end)
- VALID (Delta >= 0): The promised delivery completes before the operational deadline. Incident marked
RECOVERED. - INVALID (Delta < 0): The dispatcher offered a window that violates the deadline (e.g., offering tomorrow morning when temperature control expires at 16:00 today). Incident marked
DEADLINE_MISSED. - REFUSED / UNANSWERED: Phone rings without answer or dispatch refuses -- incident flagged for
ESCALATEDhuman intervention.
Because the agent initiates outbound telephone calls on real telecom carriers, security is important:
- E.164 Explicit Allowlist: Telephony actions are restricted by
AUTHORIZED_PHONE_WHITELISTto prevent unauthorized outbound dialing. Wildcard destinations are rejected; every authorized number must be listed explicitly. - Dual-Phase Commitment: CALL-E produces a plan confirmation token during call planning that must be validated before execution begins.
- Structured Local Audit Trail: Every turn, transcript segment, and policy check is written to an append-only structured audit log for post-call review.
ResolveCall was executed against live telecommunications infrastructure using real incident schemas.

| Use Case | Scenario | ResolveCall Action |
|---|---|---|
| Cold-Chain Biologics ($60,000+/shipment) | Biologics require 2-8 degrees C. Courier arrives at hospital after hours; gate is locked. | Dials on-call dispatcher, transmits access code, confirms redelivery before cold-pack expiry. |
| Aviation AOG ($150,000/hour downtime) | Hydraulic actuator en route to airport hangar; driver held at security checkpoint. | Dials security dispatch, conveys TSA badge authorization, coordinates escort access. |
| Emergency Data Center Access | Regional fiber cut requires technician entry to remote telecom hut; access card fails. | Places priority call to physical security dispatch, verifies maintenance ticket, secures door release. |
