Cannot play some multiperiod mpd with tunneling enabled #9317

Steps to reproduce:

1. Attempt playback of a multiperiod MPD in the ExoPlayer demo app (e.g. media URI = "https://dash.akamaized.net/dash264/TestCasesIOP33/multiplePeriods/2/manifest_multiple_Periods_Add_Remove_AdaptationSet.mpd")

Expected result: the playback works

Actual result: the playback no longer works (only a black screen is displayed); the only way to start the playback is to seek forward a couple of seconds; in the logs the following Warning is printed multiple times:

Note:

• The issue reproduces with ExoPlayer version 2.12.0 onwards; I managed to reproduce the issue with 2.14.1 as well.
• The issue is not reproducible on ExoPlayer version 2.11.8 or older

Code changes in the 2.12.1 branch - in PlayerActivity.java we enabled tunneling using the following lines:
