Add Resend email agent with Slack approval example - #157
Adds resend-slack-email-agent: an AI agent that drafts replies to a Resend Inboxes inbox and sends nothing until you approve it in Slack.
Each email chain becomes a thread in your Slack DMs with the bot, with the draft and Send / Don't send buttons. Replying in the thread rewrites the draft.
One email-thread run per chain waits on a wait token tagged with the email thread and the Slack message, so the hosted Resend and Slack webhooks can find it and wake it.
The Slack app is DM-only, the model has no tools, email text is escaped before it reaches Slack, and ALLOWED_SENDER_DOMAINS can drop unknown senders before they cost a model call.
Hosted webhooks are in public beta; packages are pinned to 4.8.0-webhooks.20261020092920. Typechecks clean. Tested end to end in dev against a real Resend inbox and Slack workspace: new email, feedback redraft, Send.

Walkthrough
Adds a Trigger.dev example that receives Resend email events, drafts replies with an AI Gateway model, and requests approval in a Slack DM before sending. Each email chain uses a long-running task that accepts new email and Slack signals, updates or replaces drafts, and expires after 30 days of inactivity. The example includes webhook handlers, API helpers, Slack app configuration, environment examples, and setup instructions.
The email agent can hide content from approvers, misinterpret hostile email text, and send duplicate replies after retries. These risks should be addressed before merging.

Review comments at @resend-slack-email-agent/src/trigger/draft.ts:
- Line 22: Update the message formatting in writeDraft to neutralize opening and
closing email-tag forms in the truncated bodyText output before inserting it
inside the wrapper. Also sanitize the from attribute to prevent angle brackets
and line breaks from affecting the tag boundary or attribute structure, while
preserving the existing wrapper format.
Review comments at @resend-slack-email-agent/src/trigger/email-thread.ts:
- Line 90: Update the replyToEmail call to use a stable Resend idempotency key
derived from inboxId, threadId, and lastInbound.id, excluding draft text so
retries for the same inbound email reuse the key. Update the README idempotency
claim to describe retries for the same inbound email.
- Around line 46-61: Filter fetched thread emails through the existing
sender-allowance logic before they are posted, passed to `writeDraft`, used to
select `lastInbound`, or checked for newer messages. Update the initial fetch
and every subsequent `listThreadEmails` refresh in `emailThread`; retain all
outbound messages for thread context.
- Around line 89-103: Update the feedback/email signal branch so feedback is
processed only when an active draft and draft timestamp exist, while email
signals continue to trigger redrafting even after a draft is resolved. Keep the
existing draft replacement and feedback-note behavior within the active-draft
path.
Review comments at @resend-slack-email-agent/src/trigger/slack.ts:
- Around line 48-53: Update escapeMrkdwn and quote to enforce a rendering-aware
Slack-safe limit after escaping and quote-prefix expansion. In the draftBlocks
and resolvedBlocks flows, apply the same effective limit to the raw draft before
displaying it and passing it to replyToEmail, so the approver sees the complete
draft that will be sent.

…r email, show full drafts
- Escape <email>/</email> in sender text so it can't break the prompt wrapper
- Apply the sender allowlist to every fetched thread email, not just the webhook event
- Ignore feedback on an email that was already answered, and key sends on the inbound email id
- Cap quoted text after adding > prefixes, and split drafts across sections so the approved draft is shown in full
Adds an example project guide for the new [Resend email agent
example](https://github.com/triggerdotdev/examples/tree/main/resend-slack-email-agent)
(triggerdotdev/examples#157): an AI agent that drafts replies to a
Resend inbox and waits for approval in Slack before sending.
- New page `guides/example-projects/resend-email-agent`, registered in
`docs.json` and the example projects table. It covers the demo video,
how the webhooks and wait tokens fit together, setup steps, and links
into the repo.
- One sentence on `webhooks/sources`, under the table where `resend()`
is listed, linking to the example.

The repo links go live when triggerdotdev/examples#157 merges, so merge
that first.
