Rendobar is a serverless media processing API. You POST a job with your inputs, we run it on isolated cloud workers, and return the output by webhook or polling. No servers to provision, no containers to build, no scaling to manage. It is built for developers who need video processing without owning the compute.
Nine job types are live. Run any FFmpeg command for transcoding, trimming, concatenating, format conversion and scene detection, or read a file's metadata with ffprobe. Render a video from a JSON timeline with compose. Shrink a file to a target size or quality with compress.target. No. Rendobar handles provisioning, the media toolchain, sandbox isolation, scaling, and cleanup. Each job runs in an ephemeral container with protocol whitelisting and an automatic timeout. You send the job, and we handle input download, execution, output upload, and delivery.
Your media stays yours. Each job runs in an ephemeral, sandboxed container that is destroyed when the job finishes, so inputs are not kept. Outputs are stored for 7 days on the free tier and 30 days on Pro and 90 on Studio, then removed. We do not train any models on your media.
FFmpeg and most other jobs bill per second of compute, usually a few cents per minute. Compose bills per second of the video you get back, at $0.04 per output minute on every plan. Yes. Rendobar ships two Model Context Protocol servers. The hosted one at api.rendobar.com/mcp exposes 11 tools over OAuth and suits claude.ai and other hosted clients.
